FAQs

Rekeying is changing the internal pins that determine which key will work the lock. The lock itself will remain the same, the only difference before and after is the old keys will no longer work and you can be confident you now hold the only working keys.

What is rekeying?

Rekeying: keep your existing hardware, change the keys that work it. This is usually a more cost effective way of improving your security.

Changing: remove the entire lock and replace it with a brand new one. This option is needed if rekeying is not possible or suitable
